Bongiwe Msomi will become the first black netball player to lead the South African national team to a World Cup.
Msomi was named captain of the Proteas for the Netball World Cup in England in July.
The 31 year-old is one of the most experienced netball players in the country, having been in the sport for more than 15 years and will be participating in her third Netball World Cup.
